|
"Renaissance Woman" one who exudes style, grace and presence while being active, engaged and knowledgeable. |
Today, the name reflects the current rebirth of American patriotism signaling an increased interest in this country, its history, shared values and culture. And, we hope, a renewed interest in pageantry. In fact, the word pageantry was born out of the pomp and grandeur of the Renaissance period. The name also refers to the "Renaissance woman;" one who exudes style, grace and presence while being active, engaged and knowledgeable. These links from the North Carolina Renaissance Faire offer details. Study up, there will be a test!
